DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when the certification ECU does not receive LIN communication from the immobilizer code ECU for 10 seconds.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Delete the DTC Engine Immobilizer System.

(b) Recheck for DTC.

B -- NORMAL
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CERTIFICATION ECU - IMMOBILIZER CODE ECU)





(a) Disconnect the U28 and K58 connectors.

(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK OPERATION OF CERTIFICATION ECU

(a) After replacing the certification ECU with a normal one, check for DTC.

B -- REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU

A -- REPLACE IMMOBILIZER CODE ECU
