DESCRIPTION

When the mirror heater switch on the center cluster module circuit (air conditioner control assembly) is pressed, the operation signal is transmitted to the A/C amplifier assembly through a LIN communication line. When the A/C amplifier assembly receives the signal, it turns on the no. 1 integration relay to operate the mirror heater.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Active Test.

(e) Perform an Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

2. CHECK DEFOGGER SYSTEM

(a) Check the rear window defogger operation.

OK:

The rear window defogger operates normally.

OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the 1H and 1G connectors from the no. 1 integration relay.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY - BODY GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH - NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY)

(a) Disconnect 1I connector from the No. 1 integration relay.

(b) Disconnect the J6 connector from the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH - NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY)
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH - NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY)

(a) Disconnect the K6 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH - NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY)
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. REPLACE NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY

(a) Replace the No. 1 integration relay Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK MIRROR HEATER SYSTEM

(a) Check the mirror heater system.

OK:

Mirror heater system is normal.

NG -- REPLACE A/C AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal

OK -- END (NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY WAS DEFECTIVE)

8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION RELAY - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the 1I connector from the No. 1 integration relay.

(b) Disconnect the J6 connector from the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION RELAY - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR - BODY GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.

9. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly RH Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- REPLACE OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH Disassembly

10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION RELAY - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the 1I connector from the No. 1 integration relay.

(b) Disconnect the K6 connector from the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION RELAY - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR - BODY GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.

11. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly LH Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
