Introduction
Some vehicles may exhibit a center console lid that is difficult to close and/or won't latch. Follow the procedures in this bulletin to address this condition.
Production Change Information
This bulletin applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown.

Repair Procedure
1. If the center console lid is difficult to close and/or won't latch, replace the center console compartment door lock sub-assembly.
2. Remove the console compartment door lock sub-assembly.
A. Remove the 2 screws.
B. Using a plastic pry tool, disengage the 12 claws and 2 guides, and remove the console compartment door lock sub-assembly from the inner console compartment door.
3. Replace the door lock sub-assembly.
A. Engage the 2 guides to install the NEW console compartment door lock sub-assembly to inner console compartment door.
B. Engage the 2 guides and 12 claws to install the console compartment door lock sub-assembly and inner console compartment door.
C. Install the 2 screws.
4. Verify the repair.
