B2658 - Short in Sensor with Motor Power Supply Circuit
DESCRIPTION
This DTC is stored when a power seat motor operates (a position control sensor is being supplied with power) and the power supply voltage does not rise to the specified value.

1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC B2658 is not output.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY - SLIDE MOTOR)
OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY - SLIDE MOTOR)
(a) Disconnect the X5 position control ECU and switch assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the X1 slide motor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY (SLIDE MOTOR CIRCUIT)
(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NG -- REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH - FRONT VERTICAL MOTOR)
(a) Disconnect the X2 front vertical motor connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FRONT VERTICAL MOTOR CIRCUIT)
(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NG -- REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY - LIFTER MOTOR)
(a) Disconnect the X3 lifter motor connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LIFTER MOTOR CIRCUIT)
(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NG -- REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
8. REPLACE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY
(a) Replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly Removal.
(b) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(c) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC B2658 is not output.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY - RECLINING MOTOR)
OK -- END (SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING WAS DEFECTIVE)
9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY - RECLINING MOTOR)
(a) Disconnect the X5 position control ECU and switch assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the Y1 reclining motor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
10. CHECK POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY (RECLINING MOTOR CIRCUIT)
(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NG -- REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
11. REPLACE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT BACK SPRING ASSEMBLY
(a) Replace the separate type front seat back spring assembly Removal.
(b) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(c) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC B2658 is not output.
