B1000/31 - Center Airbag Sensor Assembly Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The airbag sensor assembly consists of the deceleration sensor, safing sensor, drive circuit, diagnosis circuit, ignition control, etc.
If the airbag sensor assembly receives signals from the deceleration sensor, it determines whether the airbag squib and pretensioner squib should be activated.
DTC B1000/31 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the airbag sensor assembly.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE

If any DTCs other than B1000/31 are also output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
(b) Clear the DTCs stored in memory Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(c) Turn the power switch off.
(d) Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
(e) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC B1000/31 is not output.
