This symptom may occur to the right or left door windows. The flowchart below is for the driver side window. If checking the passenger side window, check using the passenger side's components.
DESCRIPTION
The multiplex network door ECUs keep power supplied to the power window regulator master switch and the regulator switch for 43 seconds after the ignition switch is turned OFF. However, the multiplex network door ECUs will cut power to the master switch and regulator switch if: 1) either front door is opened, 2) a signal from either of the front door courtesy light switches is input to the multiplex network door ECUs within 43 seconds after the ignition switch is turned OFF, or 3) 43 seconds have passed with no power window activity.
INSEPCTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION
(a) Check that the manual UP / DOWN function using the master switch and regulator switch can operate all the power windows.
OK:
Manual UP / DOWN function operates normally.
NG -- OTHER PROBLEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Operate the ignition switch. Check if DTC B2780 is output.
Result
B -- GO TO ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK OPERATION OF FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Check that the map light illuminates when the driver side door is opened.
OK:
Map light illuminates normally.
NG -- GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM
OK -- REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU FRONT LH
