Installation

SUSPENSION: FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM: INSTALLATION

HINT
* Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the shock absorber bracket to the suspension lower arm with the bolt.

Torque : 59 Nm (600 kgf-cm, 44 ft-lbf)





(b) Temporarily install the lower arm.

(1) Install the No. 1 camber adjusting cam and No. 2 camber adjusting cam with the nut, but only loosely install the nut.

(2) Align the matchmarks on the No. 1 camber adjusting cam and No. 2 camber adjusting cam. Then temporarily tighten the bolt.

HINT
After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.





(c) Temporarily install the lower arm to the lower ball joint with the nut.

HINT
After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.





(d) Temporarily install the 2 bolts to the lower arm.

HINT
After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the bolts.

2. CONNECT RACK AND PINION POWER STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the steering gear with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 65 Nm (663 kgf-cm, 48 ft-lbf)





(b) Install the No. 2 steering rack housing bracket with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 65 Nm (663 kgf-cm, 48 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Install the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar with the bolt and nut.

Torque : 51 Nm (520 kgf-cm, 38 ft-lbf)

(b) Install the stabilizer link with the nut.

Torque : 113 Nm (1,150 kgf-cm, 83 ft-lbf)

4. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY





(a) Temporarily install the shock absorber to the shock absorber bracket with the bolt and nut.





(b) Install the height control sensor link to the shock absorber bracket with the nut.

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

5. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

(a) Install the wheel with the 5 nuts.

Torque : 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

6. STABILIZE SUSPENSION Installation

7. TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Tighten the 2 camber adjusting cams and 2 nuts.

Torque : 172 Nm (1,755 kgf-cm, 127 ft-lbf)





(b) Tighten the 2 bolts and nut, and install a new cotter pin to the ball joint.

Torque : 162 Nm (1,650 kgf-cm, 119 ft-lbf for nut labeled A)

Torque : 164 Nm (1,690 kgf-cm, 121 ft-lbf for bolt labeled B)

8. TIGHTEN FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH Installation

9. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT

(a) Inspect and adjust the front wheel alignment Front Wheel Alignment.

10. ADJUST FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
