Removal

3UZ-FE EMISSION CONTROL: HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Sensor 2): REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the console box Removal.

3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal

5. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1)

(a) Disconnect the sensor connector.

(b) Disconnect the grommet and pull the sensor connector out of the cabin through the floor panel.





(c) Using SST, remove the sensor.

6. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2)

(a) Disconnect the sensor connector.

(b) Disconnect the grommet and pull the sensor connector out of the cabin through the floor panel.





(c) Using SST, remove the sensor.
