INSEPCTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
First perform the communication function inspections in How to Proceed with Troubleshooting to confirm that there are no BEAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom.

PROCEDURE

1. CONFIRM LIGHT POSITION

(a) Check the malfunctioning door mirror foot light.

Result





B -- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
A -- Continue to next step.

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

Driver Door





OK:

Door mirror foot light (for front driver side) condition is switched by Active Test.

NG -- INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

OK -- REPLACE FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH

3. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

(b) Apply battery voltage to the connector, and check the illumination condition.





OK:

NG -- REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH)

(a) Disconnect the D23 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the R14 mirror connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH

5. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

Passenger Door





OK:

Door mirror foot light (for front passenger side) condition is switched by Active Test.

NG -- INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH

OK -- REPLACE FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH

6. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

(b) Apply battery voltage to the connector, and check the illumination condition.





OK:

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH)

(a) Disconnect the P43 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the R15 mirror connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH
