On-Vehicle Inspection
LIGHTING: LIGHTING SYSTEM: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1. CHECK AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR
(a) Perform this check in a well-lighted area.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(c) Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position.
(d) Measure the resistance and voltage of the connector.
HINT
Connect the wire harness side connector to the sensor and inspect the wire harness side connector from the backside, as shown.

*: A waveform that is synchronized with ambient brightness is output.
2. CHECK ILLUMINATION ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION
HINT
The ignition key cylinder light and room light are illuminated by the illumination entry system.
(a) Turn the ignition switch OFF, open all the doors, and set the driver door in the lock condition.
(b) Unlock the driver door, open any one of the doors, and check that the room light illuminates. Close the door and check that the room light turns off in approximately 15 seconds.
(c) Turn the ignition switch ON and open and close any one of the doors. Check that the room light immediately turns off.
(d) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
(e) Open and close any one of the doors to illuminate the room light. Before the room light turns off in approximately 15 seconds, turn the ignition switch ON. Check that the room light turns off immediately.
(f) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
(g) Open and close any one of the doors to illuminate the room light. Before the room light turns off in approximately 15 seconds, lock the driver door. Check that the light turns off immediately.
3. CHECK DOOR MIRROR FOOT LIGHT CONTROL
NOTICE:
Perform this inspection with the customize parameter at the initial setting.
(a) The related lights are listed below.

* Door mirror foot light RH
(b) Check that any of the conditions described below turns off the foot light.
(1) A wireless, manual or key-linked door lock operation is performed.
(2) The foot light has been illuminated for approximately 15 seconds.
(3) With the ignition switch ON, the shift lever is moved from P to a position other than P.
(c) Check that the condition described below illuminates the foot light for approximately 15 seconds, and then turns off the foot light.
(1) Open and close the driver or front passenger door.
4. CHECK BATTERY SAVER OPERATION
(a) Remove the key and close all the doors.
(b) Open the driver door to illuminate the room light and leave it as is. Check that the light turns off in approximately 20 seconds.
(c) After the room light turns off, close the driver door.
(d) Open the passenger door or one of the rear doors to illuminate the room light. Open the driver door within 20 seconds. Check that the room light turns off in approximately 20 seconds from the time when the driver door is opened.
(e) Close all the doors. With the key inserted, open any one of the doors to illuminate the room light. In this condition, remove the key. Check that the room light turns off in approximately 20 seconds.
(f) Close all the doors.
(g) Open any one of the doors to illuminate the room light. Insert the key within 20 seconds. Check that the room light turns off in approximately 20 seconds from the time when the key is inserted.
