DESCRIPTION

The luggage compartment door courtesy switch is built into the luggage compartment door lock.

INSEPCTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LUGGAGE COURTESY SWITCH)

(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the luggage courtesy switch.

OK:

ON (luggage room door is open) appear on the screen.

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the door lock.

(b) Measure the resistance of the door lock.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (LUGGAGE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ECU - DOOR LOCK)





(a) Disconnect the L22 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the L19 door lock connector.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DOOR LOCK - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)





(a) Disconnect the L19 door lock connector.

(b) Disconnect the S17 ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
