DESCRIPTION

The door courtesy light illuminates when the door is opened and turns off when closed.

INSEPCTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FRONT COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the door courtesy light.

(b) Apply battery voltage to the door courtesy light connector and check that the door courtesy light illuminates.

OK:





NG -- FRONT COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - LIGHT)





(a) Check the wire harness between the driver door ECU and door courtesy light LH.

(1) Disconnect the D21 ECU connector.

(2) Disconnect the D6 light connector.

(3) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





(b) Check the wire harness between the passenger door ECU and door courtesy light RH.





(1) Disconnect the P41 ECU connector.

(2) Disconnect the D7 light connector.

(3) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
