DESCRIPTION
When the courtesy signal is received from the door ECU, the driver side junction block illuminates the buckle light on the opened door side.

INSEPCTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (BUCKLE LIGHT)
(a) Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the buckle switch light illuminates.

OK:
Driver side buckle light illuminates
Body No. 3
OK:
Passenger side buckle light illuminates
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the driver side inner belt.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:
(c) Remove the passenger side inner belt.
(d) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS INNER BELT LH - DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU AND BODY GROUND
(a) Disconnect the B10 belt connector.
(b) Disconnect the D3 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS INNER BELT RH - PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU AND BODY GROUND
(a) Disconnect the B11 belt connector.
(b) Disconnect the P5 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
