INSEPCTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SPEEDOMETER)

(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the speedometer operates.

OK:

The speedometer operates normally.

NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SPEEDOMETER)

(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the speedometer.

OK:

Vehicle speed on Techstream is almost equal to the actual vehicle speed.

NG -- GO TO ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the C8 meter connector.

(b) Measure the voltage of the connector.

Standard voltage:





OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
NG -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - METER)





(a) Disconnect the S6 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the C8 meter connector.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU
