INSEPCTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (D-IG, AM1, MPX-B2, D/C CUT)

(a) Remove the AM1 and D-IG fuses from the driver side junction block.

(b) Remove the D/C CUT fuse from the engine room No. 1 relay block.

(c) Remove the MPX-B2 fuse from the passenger side junction block.

(d) Measure the resistance of the fuses.

Standard resistance:

Below 1 Ohms

NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT IG1 RELAY





(a) Remove the relay from the driver side junction block.

(b) Measure the resistance of the relay.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE IG1 RELAY
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (METER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect C8 meter connector.

(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard voltage:





(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG1 RELAY - METER, BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)





(a) Remove the IG1 relay from the driver side junction block.

(b) Disconnect the C8 meter connector.

(c) Measure the voltage of the wire harness connectors.

Standard voltage:





(d) Measure the resistance of the wire harness connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
