INSEPCTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE)

(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the engine coolant temperature sensor operates.

Combination meter





OK:

The engine coolant temperature sensor operates normally.

NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK OPERATION OF COMBINATION METER WITH A NEW OR NORMALLY FUNCTIONING COMBINATION METER

(a) Temporarily replace the combination meter with a new or normally functioning one.

(b) Check that the malfunction disappears.

OK:

Malfunction disappears.

NG -- GO TO SFI SYSTEM

OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
