INSEPCTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (DRIVER SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT)

(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the driver side seat belt warning light illuminates.

OK:

Driver side seat belt warning light illuminates.

NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC (AIRBAG SYSTEM)

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Recheck for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

B1656/38 is not output.

NG -- GO TO AIRBAG SYSTEM

OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
