AIR CONDITIONING: AIR CONDITIONING UNIT: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT AIR MIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)





(a) Measure the resistance of the damper servo.

Standard resistance:





HINT
* B1446 for operation procedures for the air mix damper servo.
* As the air mix damper servo moves from the cool side to warm side, the resistance decreases gradually without interruption.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the servo and check that the servo rotates smoothly.

OK:





2. INSPECT AIR MIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Passenger Side)





(a) Measure the resistance of the damper servo.

Standard resistance:





(a) If the result is not as specified, replace the damper servo sub-assembly.

HINT
* B1441 for operation procedures for the air mix damper servo.
* As the air mix damper servo moves from the cool side to warm side, the resistance decreases gradually without interruption.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the servo and check that the servo rotates smoothly.

OK:





(b) If the result is not as specified, replace the damper servo sub-assembly.

3. INSPECT RECIRCULATION DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Measure the resistance of the damper servo.

Standard resistance:





(a) If the result is not as specified, replace the damper servo sub-assembly.

* B1432 for operation procedures for the recirculation damper servo.
* As the recirculation damper servo moves from recirculation to fresh, the resistance decreases gradually without interruption.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the servo and check that the servo rotates smoothly.

OK:





(b) If the result is not as specified, replace the damper servo sub-assembly.

4. INSPECT MODE DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Measure the resistance of the damper servo.

Standard resistance:





(a) If the result is not as specified, replace the damper servo sub-assembly.

* As the air mix damper servo moves from the cool side to warm side, the resistance decreases gradually without interruption.
(b) Apply battery voltage to the servo and check that the servo rotates smoothly.

OK:

5. INSPECT DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (LAP-JET)





(a) Apply battery voltage to the servo and check that the servo rotates smoothly.

OK:
