Disassembly

AIR CONDITIONING: AIR CONDITIONING UNIT: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE COOLER THERMISTOR HOSE

2. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR DUCT

(a) Remove the 2 screws and air duct.





3. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR DUCT

(a) Remove the 2 screws and air duct.





4. REMOVE NO. 3 AIR DUCT

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the air duct.





HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE NO. 4 AIR DUCT

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the air duct.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

6. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the screw and clamp.





(b) Remove the heater radiator unit from the A/C radiator.

7. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER UNIT DRAIN HOSE

8. REMOVE BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.





(b) Remove the screw and blower motor control.

9. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING WIRING HARNESS SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Release the 2 claws, and then disconnect the 4 connectors.





(b) Remove the A/C wiring harness.

10. REMOVE DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 screws and damper servo.





11. REMOVE AIR-MIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 screws and airmix damper servo.





12. REMOVE MODE DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 screws and mode damper servo.





13. REMOVE DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the rod from the damper servo.





(b) Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.

14. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING TUBE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts and A/C tube.





15. REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE

(a) Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 bolts, A/C tube & accessory, cooler expansion valve and tube connector.





(b) Remove the 4 O-rings.

16. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 6 screws and No. 1 cooler cover.





(b) Pull out the cooler evaporator.

(c) Remove the 2 O-rings from the cooler evaporator.
