Installation

BRAKE: BRAKE PEDAL: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the collar, 2 new bushes and shaft.

(b) Install the pedal, 2 bushes and collar.

(c) Install the shaft and nut.

Torque : 37 Nm (375 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

2. CONNECT MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

(a) Connect the push rod clevis to the brake pedal.

(b) Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the push rod pin.

(c) Install the push rod pin and clip.

(d) Install the return spring.

3. CHECK AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT Adjustments

4. CHECK BRAKE PEDAL FREE PLAY Adjustments

5. CHECK BRAKE PEDAL RESERVE DISTANCE Adjustments

6. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY Installation

7. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH Installation

9. INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH Installation

10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization Testing and Inspection.

NOTICE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

12. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Check the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
