SEAT: SEAT HEATER SYSTEM: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH





(a) Measure the resistance of the switch.

Standard resistance:





HINT
As the dial is being turned, the resistance changes gradually.

(a) If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

(b) Check that the seat heater switch indicator light illuminates.

OK:





(b) If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

2. INSPECT FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY





(a) Measure the resistance of the seatback heater.

Standard resistance:





(b) Heat the thermostat with a light.

(c) Measure the resistance of the seatback heater.

Standard resistance:





3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY





(a) Measure the resistance of the seat cushion heater.

Standard resistance:





(a) If the result is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater assembly.
