DESCRIPTION

When the ignition switch is turned ON, battery positive voltage is applied to the coil which closes the contacts of the IG1 relay and supplies power to terminal SIG of the sliding roof control ECU.

INSEPCTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (MPX-IG)

(a) Remove the MPX-IG fuse from the passenger side junction block.

(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.

Standard resistance:

Below 1 Ohms

NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU - BATTERY)

(a) Disconnect the S18 ECU connector.





(b) Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU
