1. CHECK SPEAKER
Result:
A -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
B -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK SPEAKER
Result:
E -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY)
D -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - REAR SPEAKER)
C -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER)
B -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER)
A -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
(a) Check that malfunction disappears when the speaker is replaced with a normal one.
OK:
Malfunction disappears.
HINT
* Connect all connectors to speakers.
* If the right front or left front speaker is suspected to be malfunctioning, inspect by interchanging the right front and left front speaker.
NG -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
OK -- END
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER)
(a) Disconnect the S23 amplifier connector.
(b) Disconnect the D15 or D16 speaker connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. INSPECT FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the D15 or D16 speaker connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the speaker.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
6. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER)
(a) Disconnect the S22 amplifier connector.
(b) Disconnect the W4 or W5 speaker connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. INSPECT STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the W4 or W5 speaker connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the speaker.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
8. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - REAR SPEAKER)
(a) Disconnect the S22 amplifier connector.
(b) Disconnect the R10 or R11 speaker connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
9. INSPECT REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER
(a) Disconnect the R10 or R11 speaker connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the speaker.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
10. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the S22 amplifier connector.
(b) Disconnect the W6 speaker connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
11. INSPECT REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the W6 speaker connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the speaker.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
