INSEPCTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (STEERING PAD SWITCH MODULATOR)

(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the steering pad switch.

Steering pad switch modulator:





OK:

ON appears on the screen when each steering pad switch is pushed.

NG -- RESET STEERING PAD SWITCH MODULATOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

2. RESET STEERING PAD SWITCH MODULATOR

(a) Turn the ignition switch to ACC, and perform steps (b) and (c) and with 30 seconds.

(b) Press and hold the MODE switch for more than 10 seconds.

(c) After releasing the MODE switch, press the channel up switch 3 times, and then the channel down switch 3 times within 5 seconds.

(d) Turn the ignition switch to ON then turn it off.

(e) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(f) Check the proper operation of the steering pad switch modulator.

Result:

Steering pad switch assembly is proper operation.

NG -- REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH MODULATOR

OK -- END
