DESCRIPTION

This circuit sends a microphone signal from the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) to the display and navigation module display.

It also supplies power from the display and navigation module display to the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly).

INSEPCTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE - TELEPHONE MICROPHONE)

(a) Disconnect the D24 display and navigation module display connector.

(b) Disconnect the M7 telephone microphone assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY

(a) Disconnect the M7 telephone microphone assembly connector.

(b) Reconnect the D24 display and navigation module display connector.

(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

OK -- Continue to next step.

3. REPLACE TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the telephone microphone assembly.

(b) Check if the same malfunction recurs.
