DESCRIPTION

This circuit sends a nighttime illumination signal from the driver side junction block ECU to multi-display.

INSEPCTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT NIGHTTIME ILLUMINATION

(a) Turn on the light switch and check the nighttime illuminations of the vehicle interior.

Result:





B -- GO TO COMBINATION METER SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER - DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK))

(a) Disconnect the M5 panel connector.





(b) Disconnect the 2F junction block connector.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER (MULTI-DISPLAY)

(a) Remove the instrument cluster finish panel center.





(b) Measure the resistance of the panel.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY CENTER
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU) (PANEL2 VOLTAGE)

(a) Turn the ignition switch to ACC.





(b) Measure the voltage of the junction block connector.

Standard voltage:





NG -- REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
