When the AFS ECU detects a malfunction in itself, a DTC is output.

1. CHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Read the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B2420 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE AFS ECU

OK -- SYSTEM IS OK
