Canister Purge Control Valve: Testing and Inspection

1UR-FSE EMISSION CONTROL: PURGE VALVE: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT PURGE VSV

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard resistance:





(b) If the result is not as specified, replace the purge VSV.

(c) Check operation of the purge VSV.

(1) Check that air does not flow from port E to port F.





(2) Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1.





(3) Check that air flows from port E to port F.

If the result is not as specified, replace the purge VSV.
