CAN COMMUNICATION: CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM: DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

1. BUS CHECK

(a) Select "CAN Bus Check" from the "System Select".

2. CHECK INSTALLED SYSTEMS (ECUS AND SENSORS) THAT USE CAN COMMUNICATION

(a) System (ECUs and sensors) that use CAN communication vary depending on the vehicle's optional settings. Check which systems (ECUs and sensors) are installed on the vehicle.

3. DTC TABLE BY ECU

HINT
* In the CAN communication system, CAN communication system DTCs output by the ECU can be displayed by using the Techstream.
* If CAN communication system DTCs are output, the trouble cannot be determined solely from the DTCs. Perform troubleshooting according to "HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING" How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.
(a) SKID CONTROL ECU

HINT

(b) ECM

For vehicles with rear power seat control system (except 4-passenger with Ottoman) or with seat heater system and rear power seat control system (for 4-passenger with Ottoman).

(t) CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR

(v) AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER

The air conditioning amplifier is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(w) INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY

For vehicles without multi-display only.

HINT
The integration control and panel assembly is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(x) FRONT CONTROLLER

HINT
The front controller is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(y) STEERING PAD ECU

HINT
The steering pad ECU is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(z) FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH

HINT
The front multiplex network door ECU LH is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(aa) FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH

HINT
The front multiplex network door ECU RH is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(ab) REAR MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH

HINT
The rear multiplex network door ECU LH is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(ac) REAR MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH

HINT
The rear multiplex network door ECU RH is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(ad) FRONT POWER SEAT ECU AND SWITCH LH

HINT
The front power seat ECU and switch LH is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(ae) FRONT POWER SEAT ECU AND SWITCH RH

For vehicles with rear power seat control system only.

HINT
The front power seat ECU and switch RH is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(af) COMBINATION SWITCH

HINT
The combination switch is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(ag) POWER TRUNK LID CONTROL ECU

For vehicles with power trunk lid system only.

HINT
The multiplex network door ECU is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(ah) REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU

HINT
The rear junction block ECU is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(ai) TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU

HINT
The tire pressure warning ECU is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(aj) FRONT MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR

For vehicles with dynamic radar cruise control system or with pre-collision system only.

HINT
The front millimeter wave radar sensor is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(ak) OBJECT RECOGNITION ECU

For vehicles with lane keeping assist system only.

HINT
The object recognition ECU is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

(al) DRIVER MONITOR ECU

For vehicles with pre-collision system only.

HINT
The driver monitor ECU is connected to the CAN communication system but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

4. DTC COMBINATION TABLE

HINT
* o: Output.
* X: When one side of branch wire is open, output may occur.
* *1: Only output when communication recovery has occurred. During communication stop, cannot be output.
* *4: During dynamic radar cruise control, lane-keep control and pre-collision system control.
* *6: Only present DTCs output.
* *7: Output only immediately after engine switch turned on (IG).
* *8: The DTC is not output to the Techstream. It is only output to the screen of the display and navigation module display.
* *9: Electronically Controlled Brake
* *10: for parking assist bus
