Installation





BRAKE: REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE: INSTALLATION

NOTICE:
While the battery is connected, even if the engine switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal and open/close the doors while the battery is connected.

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
1. INSTALL REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE

(a) Connect the flexible hose with the union bolt and a new gasket.





Torque : 39 Nm (400 kgf-cm, 29 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Install the flexible hose lock securely in the lock hole in the disc brake caliper.

(b) Connect the brake tube to flexible hose with a union nut wrench while holding flexible hose with a wrench.

Torque : 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Do not bend or damage the brake tube.
* Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake tube from the connecting points.
* Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Part 1.
(c) Install the flexible hose with a new clip.

NOTICE:
Securely install the clip.

2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Testing and Inspection.

3. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Installation

4. BLEEDING PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
Be sure to read the "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before bleeding Service Precautions.

5. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID Procedures

6. BLEED BRAKE SYSTEM Procedures

7. INSPECT AND ADJUST BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR Service and Repair

8. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK

9. INSTALL REAR WHEEL Installation

10. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

11. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) If any DTC is set, perform the troubleshooting for that DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
