Applicability

Introduction

Some LS 460 Sport Package (Brembo brakes) vehicles may exhibit a squeal or squeak noise from the front of the vehicle when lightly applying the brakes at low vehicle speeds. A new front brake pad kit has been made available to address this condition.

Repair Procedure

1. Conduct a road test to verify the front brake squeal.

Did the front brake system exhibit a squeak or squeal noise?

^ NO - This TSIB does NOT apply. Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS) applicable model year Repair Manual for further diagnosis.

^ YES - This TSIB DOES apply. Proceed to step 2 for front brake pad replacement.

2. Remove and replace the front brake pads and anti-squeal shims with the updated parts.

NOTICE

When replacing front disc brake pads, do NOT separate anti-squeal shims from pads. The anti-squeal shims are bonded to the pad.

3. Road test the vehicle to confirm the front brake noise condition is NO longer present.
