5. HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR VEHICLE HEIGHT DIFFERENCE SETTING (HEIGHT SET)*4

(a) Preparation for adjustment.

HINT
* The height control sensor vehicle height difference setting must be performed with the vehicle on a level surface.
* Before performing the television camera optical axis adjustment, the height control sensor vehicle height difference setting must be performed on the "HEIGHT SET" screen.
(1) Adjust the tire pressure to the specification.

(2) Measure distance A between the ground and the television camera shown in the illustration.

(3) Calculate the difference between distance A and the standard height below.

Standard:

943.6 mm (3.10 ft.)

HINT
Subtract the standard value from the measured value to get the standard height. When the measured value is 953.6 mm: 953.6 - 943.6 = +10 (standard height is +10 mm).

(b) Start diagnostic mode.

* Navigation system for HDD: Navigation System (for HDD)

* Navigation system for DVD: Navigation System (For DVD)

NOTICE:
Mode setting must be carried out with the engine started. Apply the parking brake, depress the brake pedal, move the shift lever to P and make sure that the vehicle is not moving.

(c) HEIGHT SET

(1) Press "UP" and "DOWN" to input the calculated difference.

HINT
* A positive value is indicated in green and a negative value is indicated in red.
* When the value is "10 MM" in green, it means +10 mm.
(2) After inputting the calculated difference, select "OK". The height control sensor vehicle height difference setting will be recorded.

HINT
* When "OK" is selected, a beep will sound to confirm that the height difference set values have been stored.
* The setting value will not be stored unless "OK" is selected.
* The adjustment values are not stored until the beep finishes sounding.
* When "BACK" is selected, the screen changes to "SIGNAL CHECK" without storing the set values.
* Press "OK" with the vehicle in the same condition as when the vehicle height was measured.
* If a person was in the driver seat when the vehicle height was measured, press "OK" with the same person in the driver seat.
* On the "SIGNAL CHECK" screen, check that the "HT INIT" is "OK" (blue).
