DESCRIPTION

When the driving support ECU receives an engine control (SFI) system or ECT system malfunctioning signal from the ECM via the CAN communication line, DTC C1A40 is output.

When DTC C1A40 is detected, the engine control system or ECT system DTC will also be detected.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC (ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Code.

(b) Check for DTCs.

2. CHECK FOR DTC (ECT SYSTEM)

(a) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / ECT / Trouble Code.

(b) Check for DTCs.

OK:

ECT system DTCs is not output.
