Fail-Safe Chart





WINDOW / GLASS: POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM: FAIL-SAFE CHART

1. CHECK POWER WINDOW FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION

HINT
* Fail-safe mode has the following modes:
* Pulse sensor malfunction (for jam protection detection sensor)
* Pulse sensor malfunction (for window position detection sensor)
* Pulse direction malfunction
* No signal from both pulse sensors
* Jam protection position malfunction
* ECU malfunction
* EEPROM reading malfunction
(a) Power Window Regulator Master Switch Assembly

(1) When a part other than the ECU is malfunctioning:

Power Window Regulator Master Switch Assembly (Driver side window)





* [Black Circle]: Operates during fail-safe mode

* X: Cannot operate during fail-safe mode

* *: Manual up operates when the switch is held in the auto up position

Power Window Regulator Master Switch Assembly (Front passenger side window)





* [Black Circle]: Operates during fail-safe mode

* X: Cannot operate during fail-safe mode

* *: W/ Front Passenger Door Auto Up Function

Power Window Regulator Master Switch Assembly (Rear seat windows)





* [Black Circle]: Operates during fail-safe mode

* X: Cannot operate during fail-safe mode

(2) When the ECU is malfunctioning:

* [Black Circle]: Operates during fail-safe mode

* X: Cannot operate during fail-safe mode

* *: Manual up operates when the switch is held in the auto up position
