DESCRIPTION
This circuit detects the state of the engine switch. The AFS ECU receives the signal from the engine switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Data List.
(e) Read the display on the Techstream.
AFS (AFS ECU)
OK:
Battery voltage is within the specified normal condition.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AFS ECU - BODY GROUND)
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Exterior Lighting System
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AFS ECU - BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the A27 AFS ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (AFS ECU - BODY GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AFS ECU - BATTERY)
(a) Disconnect the A27 AFS ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
