Disassembly





LIGHTING (EXT): HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER

(a) Remove the No. 1 headlight back cover as shown in the illustration.





2. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT COVER GASKET

(a) Remove the No. 1 headlight cover gasket.

NOTICE:
After the No. 1 headlight cover gasket is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.

3. REMOVE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB

(a) Separate the light control ECU socket as shown in the illustration.





(b) Release the set spring and remove the discharge headlight bulb as shown in the illustration.





4. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER

(a) Remove the No. 2 headlight back cover as shown in the illustration.





5. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT COVER GASKET

(a) Remove the No. 2 headlight cover gasket.

NOTICE:
After the No. 2 headlight cover gasket is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.

6. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the No. 2 headlight bulb as shown in the illustration.

7. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB

(a) Turn the clearance light bulb and the clearance light socket in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration and remove them as a unit.





(b) Remove the clearance light bulb from the clearance light socket.

8. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT SOCKET

(a) Disconnect the connector and remove the clearance light socket.

9. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB

(a) Turn the 2 front turn signal light bulbs and the headlight cord in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove them as a unit.









(b) Remove the 2 front turn signal light bulbs from the headlight cord.

10. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT

(a) Remove the 3 screws and front bumper side support.





11. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Align the notches of the headlight leveling motor and the housing, and pull out the headlight leveling motor slightly.

HINT
For the headlight leveling motor RH, rotate it symmetrical to the directional arrow shown in the illustration.

(c) Lower the tip of the headlight leveling motor to disengage it from the reflector and remove the headlight leveling motor.





12. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING

(a) Remove the headlight leveling motor base packing.

NOTICE:
After the headlight leveling motor base packing is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.

13. REMOVE HEADLIGHT PROTECTOR

(a) Using "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the "TORX" bolt.





(b) Disengage the claw and remove the headlight protector.
