NAVIGATION / MULTI INFO DISPLAY: NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for DVD): B1569: DVD-ROM Deck Disconnected
B1569 - DVD-ROM Deck Disconnected
DESCRIPTION
The display and navigation module display and multi-media module navigation assembly are connected by the IEEE cable.
When an IEEE communication error occurs between the display and navigation module display and multi-media module navigation assembly, this DTC will be stored.
HINT
* Even if no fault is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the battery condition or engine start voltage.
* The display and navigation module display is the master unit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)
(a) Check for optional components.
(1) Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.
Result:
HINT
* Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect IEEE communication.
* This DTC may be stored when an IEEE communication error occurs due to electrical noise.
B -- CHECK DTC
A -- Continue to next step.
2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)
(a) Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
NOTICE:
Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Navigation System (for DVD).
(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
OK:
No DTCs are output.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE)
OK -- END
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE)
(a) Disconnect the multi-media module navigation assembly connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK IEEE CABLE CONNECTOR
(a) Check for the IEEE cable connector.
(1) Check if the IEEE cable connectors between the multi-media module navigation assembly and the display and navigation module display have any connection problems Electronic Circuit Inspection Procedure.
(b) Check that the screen display is normal.
OK:
Screen display is normal.
NG -- REPLACE IEEE CABLE
OK -- END
6. REPLACE IEEE CABLE
(a) Replace the IEEE cable between the multi-media module navigation assembly and the display and navigation module display.
(b) Check that the screen display is normal.
OK:
Screen display is normal.
NG -- REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA MODULE NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY
OK -- END
7. REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA MODULE NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY
(a) Replace the multi-media module navigation assembly Removal.
(b) Clear the DTCs Navigation System (for DVD).
(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
OK:
No DTCs are output.
NG -- REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY Removal
OK -- END
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
(a) Disconnect the display and navigation module display connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
