B2057 - Yaw Rate Sensor
DESCRIPTION
This DTC is output when a malfunction in the yaw rate sensor is detected. This circuit consists of the yaw rate sensor and seat belt control ECU. Signals are sent from the yaw rate sensor using CAN communication.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, INITIALIZATION must be performed Pre-Collision System.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.
(b) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
CAN communication system DTC is not output.
NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM How to Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)
(a) Turn the engine switch off.
(b) Start the engine.
(c) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 18 mph (30 km/h) or more, turn the steering wheel, and decelerate the vehicle (depress the brake pedal).
(d) Check DTC for vehicle stability control system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
Vehicle stability control system DTC is not output.
NG -- GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM)
(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.
(b) Recheck for DTCs.
OK:
DTC B2057 is not output.
NG -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
