How to Proceed with Troubleshooting





CRUISE CONTROL: CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. PROBLEM SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION

3. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

Standard Voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding to the next step.

4. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

Refer to how to proceed with troubleshooting How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.

(a) Check for output DTCs.

HINT
The ECM of this system is connected to the multiplex communication system. Therefore, before starting troubleshooting, make sure to check that there is no trouble in the multiplex communication system.

5. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

Refer to the precaution CAN Communication System.

(a) Check for output DTCs.

The ECM of this system is connected to the CAN communication system. Therefore, before starting troubleshooting, make sure to check that there is no trouble in the CAN communication system.

6. DTC CHECK AND CLEAR*

Refer to the DTC CHECK / CLEAR Cruise Control System.
