Brake Control Warning Light Does Not Come On

Refer to Brake Control Warning Light Remains ON Brake Control Warning Light Remains On.



NOTICE:
When replacing the skid control ECU, perform initialization of linear solenoid valve and calibration Initialization.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output Diagnosis System.

Result:





B -- REPAIR CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Check if the multiplex communication system DTC is output Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

Result:





B -- REPAIR MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT BRAKE CONTROL WARNING LIGHT

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Start the engine.

(c) Select the "ECB* Warning Light" in the Active Test and operate the brake control warning light by the Techstream.

ABS / VSC / TRAC:





(d) *: Electronically Controlled Brake

(e) Check that "ON" and "OFF" of the brake control warning light is indicated on the combination meter when using the Techstream.

OK:

The brake control warning light turns on or off in accordance with the Techstream.

HINT
If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part Problem Symptoms Table.

NG -- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

OK -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU

4. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the combination meter assembly Problem Symptoms Table.

HINT
If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part Problem Symptoms Table.
