Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
AUDIO / VISUAL: AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
HINT
* Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the audio and visual system.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
Standard Voltage:
11 to 14 V
* If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. BASIC INSPECTION
(a) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(b) Check whether or not the radio receiver assembly turns on.
Result:
B -- Go to step 8
A -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK FOR DTC*
(a) Refer to DTC Check / Clear for the following systems:
* Refer to Navigation System (for HDD) Navigation System (for HDD).
* Refer to Navigation System (for DVD) Navigation System (for DVD).
* Refer to Electro Multi Vision System Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result:
HINT
* If the vehicle is not equipped with the navigation system, refer to DTC Check / Clear for the electro multi vision system.
* After the check using the Techstream, check the "System Check Mode" screen as necessary.
B -- Go to step 8
A -- Continue to next step.
5. DTC CLEAR*
(a) Refer to DTC Check / Clear for the following systems:
* Refer to Navigation System (for HDD) Navigation System (for HDD).
* Refer to Navigation System (for DVD) Navigation System (for DVD).
* Refer to Electro Multi Vision System Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
HINT
* If the vehicle is not equipped with the navigation system, refer to DTC Check / Clear for the electro multi vision system.
* The current DTCs may not indicate actual malfunctions depending on the vehicle operating conditions.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
6. RECHECK FOR DTC*
(a) Refer to DTC Check / Clear for the following systems:
* Refer to Navigation System (for HDD) Navigation System (for HDD).
* Refer to Navigation System (for DVD) Navigation System (for DVD).
* Refer to Electro Multi Vision System Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result:
HINT
* If the vehicle is not equipped with the navigation system, refer to DTC Check / Clear for the electro multi vision system.
* Even if the malfunction symptom is not confirmed, check for DTCs. This is because the system stores history DTCs.
* After the check using the techstream, check the "System Check Mode" screen as necessary.
* Check the DTC and inspect the area that the code indicates.

7. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
(a) Find the output code in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart Audio and Visual System.
NOTICE:
* The navigation system or electro multi vision system outputs DTCs for the following systems.
* When DTCs other than the codes in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the audio and visual system are output, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the relevant system.
* Refer to Navigation System (for HDD) Navigation System (for HDD).
* Refer to Navigation System (for DVD) Navigation System (for DVD).
* Refer to Electro Multi Vision System Electro Multi Vision System.
Result:
A -- Go to step 10
B -- GO TO NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for HDD)
C -- GO TO NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for DVD)
D -- GO TO ELECTRO MULTI VISION SYSTEM
8. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
(a) Refer to Problem Symptoms Table Problem Symptoms Table.

If the symptom does not recur and no DTC is output, attempt to reproduce the symptoms How To Proceed With Troubleshooting.

9. PERFORM TROUBLESHOOTING BASED ON MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM
(a) Refer to Terminals of ECU Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters.

10. CHECK CIRCUIT
(a) Adjust, repair or replace as necessary.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
11. RECHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE
