C1289/41 - VGRS Control System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU communicates with the steering control (VGRS) ECU via CAN communication.

If a malfunction in the VGRS system is detected, cooperative control of the steering is prohibited by the fail-safe function.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When replacing the skid control ECU, perform initialization of linear solenoid valve and calibration Initialization.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC FOR VGRS SYSTEM

(a) Clear the DTC Variable Gear Ratio Steering System.

(b) Check for the DTC Variable Gear Ratio Steering System.

Result:





B -- REPAIR VGRS SYSTEM ACCORDING TO DTC OUTPUT
A -- Continue to next step.

2. RECONFIRM DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Electronically Controlled Brake System.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Check if the same DTC is recorded Electronically Controlled Brake System.
