B2761 - Intrusion Sensor Internal Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

* The intrusion sensor conducts a self-diagnosis immediately after the power is supplied to the sensor (when the theft deterrent system is set).

* If a malfunction is detected in the intrusion wave transmission or wave reception, or the intrusion sensor wave transmission or wave reception circuit, the intrusion sensor sends a signal to the multiplex network body ECU. The ECU then outputs this DTC.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTCS

(a) Set the theft deterrent system and check if the same DTC is not output Theft Deterrent System.

2. REPLACE OVERHEAD JUNCTION BLOCK (INTRUSION SENSOR)

(a) Replace the overhead junction block (intrusion sensor).

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FOR DTCS

(a) Set the theft deterrent system and check if the same DTC is not output Theft Deterrent System.

OK:

DTC B2761 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

OK -- END (OVERHEAD JUNCTION BLOCK (INTRUSION SENSOR) WAS DEFECTIVE)
