B2312 - Power Window Switch Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The power window regulator motor is operated by the power window switch. The power window regulator motor has motor, regulator and ECU functions.
This DTC is output when the ECU built into the regulator motor determines that the power window switch is stuck.
HINT
This DTC may occur for all the windows.
NOTICE:
* When the power window regulator motor is reinstalled or replaced, the power window control system must be initialized.
* After a door glass or a door glass run has been replaced, the jam protection function may operate unexpectedly when the AUTO UP function is used. In such cases, the AUTO UP function can be resumed by repeating the following operation at least 5 times:
* Close the power window by fully pulling up the power window switch and holding it in the AUTO UP position.
* Open the power window by fully pushing down the switch.

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Check for DTCs.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MASTER SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream ON.
(c) Select the following menu items: Body / Master Switch / Data List.
(d) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
Master Switch
OK:
Tester display changes in accordance with power window master switch is operation.
NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH
OK -- END (DUE TO CONTINUOUSLY OPERATING SWITCH FOR 20 SECONDS OR MORE)
3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (D-DOOR MOTOR)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream ON.
(c) Select the following menu items: Body / D-Door Motor / Data List.
(d) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
D-Door Motor
OK:
Tester display changes in accordance with power window master switch is operation.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH - BODY GROUND)
OK -- END (DUE TO CONTINUOUSLY OPERATING SWITCH FOR 20 SECONDS OR MORE)
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH - BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the Q13 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the M11 motor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. REPLACE POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH
(a) Replace the power window master switch Service and Repair.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM
(a) Check that the power window is operated normally by opening and closing the window Operation Check.
OK:
Power window master switch operates normally.
NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)
OK -- END (POWER MASTER SWITCH IS DEFECTIVE)
7. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream ON.
(c) Select the following menu items: Body / P-Door Motor / Data List.
(d) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
P-Door Motor:
OK:
Tester display changes in accordance with front passenger side power window switch is operation.
NG -- INSPECT POWER WINDOW SWITCH (for Front Passenger Side)
OK -- END (DUE TO CONTINUOUSLY OPERATING SWITCH FOR 20 SECONDS OR MORE)
8. INSPECT POWER WINDOW SWITCH (for Front Passenger Side)
(a) Remove the power window switch Service and Repair.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW SWITCH (for Front Passenger Side)
OK -- Continue to next step.
9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW SWITCH (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE) - BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the Q6 motor connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)
10. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (RL-DOOR MOTOR)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream ON.
(c) Select the following menu items: Body / RL-Door Motor / Data List.
(d) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
RL-Door Motor
OK:
Tester display changes in accordance with rear LH power window switch is operation.
NG -- INSPECT POWER WINDOW SWITCH (for Rear LH Side)
OK -- END (DUE TO CONTINUOUSLY OPERATING SWITCH FOR 20 SECONDS OR MORE)
11. INSPECT POWER WINDOW SWITCH (for Rear LH Side)
(a) Remove the power window switch
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW SWITCH (for Rear LH Side)
OK -- Continue to next step.
12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW SWITCH (REAR LH SIDE) - BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the Q8 motor connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear LH side)
13. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream ON.
(c) Select the following menu items: Body / RR-Door Motor / Data List.
(d) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

14. INSPECT POWER WINDOW SWITCH (for Rear RH Side)
(a) Remove the power window switch
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW SWITCH (for Rear RH Side)
OK -- Continue to next step.
15. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW SWITCH (REAR RH SIDE) - BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the O4 motor connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear RH side)
