B2071 - Stop Light Control Relay Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a malfunction in the stop light control relay circuit. This circuit consists of the distance control ECU and seat belt control ECU. Signals are sent from the distance control ECU to the seat belt control ECU using CAN communication.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Initialization must be performed Pre-Collision System.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(b) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

CAN communication system DTC is not output.

NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM CAN Communication System
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Turn the cruise control main switch on.

(b) Drive the vehicle at a speed for which cruise control operation is possible.

(c) Check DTCs for the dynamic radar cruise control system Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System.

OK:

Dynamic radar cruise control system DTC is not output.

NG -- GO TO DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System

OK -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
