B2058 - Steering Angle Sensor

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a malfunction in the steering angle sensor is detected. This circuit consists of the steering angle sensor and seat belt control ECU. Signals are sent from the steering sensor through CAN communication.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Initialization must be performed Pre-Collision System.
* When the distance control ECU is replaced with a new one, Initialization must be performed Installation.
PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Clear the DTC Pre-Collision System.

(b) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

DTC U0126 is not output.

NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Turn the engine switch off.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) again.

(c) Drive the vehicle and turn the steering wheel to the right and left at a speed of 35 km/h (22 mph) or more.

(d) Check DTCs for brake control system (Vehicle stability control system: Vehicle Stability Control System, Electronically controlled brake system: Electronically Controlled Brake System).

OK:

Brake control system DTC is not output.

NG -- GO TO BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. REPLACE DISTANCE CONTROL ECU

(a) Replace the distance control ECU Removal.

(b) Initialize the distance control ECU Installation.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK DTC (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM)

(a) Clear the DTC Pre-Collision System.

(b) Recheck for DTCs.

OK:

DTC B2058 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU

OK -- REPLACE STEERING SENSOR
