B1224 - Front Passenger Side Door Lock Switch Circuit Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
If the DTC is output when not operating the switch, it means the switch is ON, OFF or stuck. If the DTC is not output when operating the switch, switch contact has failed. When something wrong is found by this diagnosis, inspect each switch. Replace the switch if there is a problem or check the front multiplex network door ECU RH and wire harness.

PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the seat memory switch.
Position control ECU & switch assembly RH:
OK:
On Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF, and MEM and NOT MEM according to above chart.
NG -- GO TO FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM (W/ MEMORY)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (BUCKLE SWITCH)
(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the buckle switch.
Airbag Sensor Assembly Center:
OK:
On ester screen, each item changes between SET and UNSET according to above chart
NG -- GO TO SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT DOOR CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the door control switch.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DOOR CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - PASSENGER DOOR ECU)
(a) Disconnect the Q3 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the M3 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH
