Installation

BRAKE: BRAKE BOOSTER (for 2GR-FSE): INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

(a) Temporarily install the push rod clevis with the lock nut.

(b) Adjust and tighten the push rod clevis with the lock nut Adjustments.

2. INSTALL BRAKE VACUUM CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the grommet and check valve assembly.

3. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET

(a) Install a new brake booster gasket to the brake booster assembly.

4. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the brake booster assembly with the 4 nuts.





Torque : 12.7 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Do not damage the brake tubes.

(b) Connect the vacuum hose with the clip.





5. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

(a) Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the clevis pin.





(b) Install the push rod clevis to the brake pedal support assembly with the clevis pin and a new clip.

6. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

(a) Install the brake pedal return spring.

7. INSTALL ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Installation

8. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER WITH PLATE CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

9. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK NO.3 Installation

10. ADD BRAKE FLUID Service and Repair

11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

19. ADD RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID Service and Repair

20. BLEED MASTER CYLINDER Service and Repair

21. BLEED BRAKE LINE Service and Repair

22. BLEED ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Service and Repair

23. INSPECT FLUID LEVEL IN THE RESERVOIR Service and Repair

24. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK

25. INSPECT ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

26. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation
