Wiper Switch (HI Speed) Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The passenger side junction block ECU receives the wiper switch HI position signal and activates the wiper motor at HI speed.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (WIPER SWITCH)
(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the wiper switch.

OK:
ON (wiper switch in HI position) appears on the screen.
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - SWITCH)




(a) Disconnect the P4 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the C11 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
