Removal








SUSPENSION: FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE WHEEL HUB ORNAMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 10 bolts and wheel hub ornament.
2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
(a) Remove the 5 nuts and wheel.





3. DISCONNECT FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the speed sensor wire.





4. DISCONNECT STEERING KNUCKLE LH
(a) Remove the clip and nut.
(b) Using SST, disconnect the upper suspension arm from the steering knuckle.
SST: 09610-20012





5. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING
(a) Remove the bolt and nut, and disconnect the shock absorber from the shock absorber bracket.
(b) Loosen the piston rod lock nut.
NOTE:
Do not remove the lock nut.

(c) Remove the 3 nuts, spring support reinforcement and shock absorber with coil spring.
(d) Remove the No. 1 suspension support from the shock absorber with coil spring.
